Wavetek was an electronic test equipment manufacturer that made function generators and signal generators. Although Wavetek did not invent the function generator, it made them commercially popular. Wavetek manufactured a number of waveform generators, some of which combine the functionality of many different types of generators. Their line of waveform generators include arbitrary waveform generators, function generators, pulse generators, and sweep generators--among others.
