ETS-Lindgren 3162-01 Field Generating Horn Antenna 1.2 GHz - 1.4 GHz

Description

ETS-Lindgren's Model 3162-01 Pyramidal Type High Gain Horn was specifically developed for the GMW 3097 and ES-XW7T-1A278-AC specifications for automotive EMC components testing.

These tests require that the EUT be exposed to a pulsed peak field level of 600 V/m at a distance of 100 cm from the front of the horn.

Because of near field gain compression, most horns fail to meet this spec at the required test distance. The Model 3162-01 optimizes the near field behavior to overcome this problem, and produces a field level of 600 V/m with input power of less than 500 W.
